Employee Terminations

Employee terminations are often some of the most stressful, and worrisome parts of running a business.  Moreover, they are potentially one of the most vulnerable to legal liabilities that businesses face as part of the corporate decision making process.

Employee terminations are common place occurrences within the corporate community, and these countless irreconcilable differences include but are not limited to: corporate restructuring and downsizing, lack of productivity, layoffs, theft, and many more...

Unfortunately, employee terminations can and often do turn into extremely volatile, and violent situations as well.  In most cases, the typical and immediate reaction from an employee during their termination is a sense of betrayal.  They believe that they have always gone above and beyond the call of duty for their employer’s and cannot understand why they are being terminated, but they leave without incident.

Additionally, in many cases, employers typically will only perform the standard pre-employment background investigation prior to the hiring of an employee; however, as part of our threat assessment evaluation for impending employee terminations, Drago Protective Services, LLC will perform an exit background investigation.

By conducting an exit background investigation of the employee being terminated, our firm can provide our clients with a security threat analysis outlining the potential for violence prior to the employee's termination.  These exit background investigations will consist of but not limited to: criminal background arrests, domestic violence arrests, DUI arrests, narcotics arrests, credit history reports, etc...
